As someone whos been using sk tools for 20 years, I'm not impressed. The quality of this ratchet isn't bad per say, but it's nowhere near as awesome as the old usa made roto ratchets. Make no mistake, this is definitely made in china or similar and the quality reflects a higher end chinese tool. The casting is nice, and it's definitely heavy duty, but the chrome isn't the kind of awesome quality SK used to have. Multiple small grain of sand sized defects, a few sharp edges. Upon unboxing it had terrible back drag and was stiff to actuate. I was a little upset, but after adding super lube ptfe oil it felt significantly better and more like other ratchets on the market. I think this will be a great ratchet once broken in, but it'll never live up to the old stuff. Great Star, If you're listening, please just sell SK back to someone competent.
